We commission local artists to paint or photograph a varied array of local subject matter from wildlife to buildings, birds and portraits for inclusion in our annual range of calendars and desk planners.   Here once again we offer the corporate on opportunity to customise the product and include their banding messages.

CDC prides its self on the quality of its products and therefore only uses manufacturers and suppliers that can meet its exacting standards and can demonstrate that they also, are socially responsible and engaged in the community.

Established in 1998, CDC is one of the top three diary and calendar suppliers in South Africa. The company has recently started exporting to neighbouring African countries and is now looking to develop markets further afield. By focussing on this niche market and not expanding into the corporate gifting arena as so many suppliers do, we are able to maintain our quality year after year.

The company has implemented an active and sustainable, ongoing Social Investment programme, where for several years it has contributed free Diaries to the Wildlife Society & the Stroke Foundation. These diaries are sold by these entities to raise much needed funding. In addition, CDC has pledged to donate 1% of its annual profit to the Hospice association for use in its fight against aids. CDC is an equal opportunity employer with a small dedicated staff relying on a national network of brokers to sell its products and introduce new business.

Suppliers
CDC uses Interpak Books a 75% held subsidiary of Nampak to produce our diaries and printers such as Anglo Swiss and Fishwicks in Durban to print our calendars. We try where possible to ensure our suppliers are BBE compliant and provide some piece work to smaller black owned companies. All our major suppliers are ISO compliant with Nampak having recently met the ISO 1400 standard.

Management Owner
The company is management owned with Richard Harman being the shareholder of reference. Richard's background is in over 20 years of banking and finance. A former director of several listed property companies such as Growthpoint, Primegro, Richway, CBS and Caluo. Richard has only recently joined the company and brings a wealth of corporate governance and financial expertise together with strategic planning skills necessary to take CDC to even greater heights. Jaco Le' Roux, one of the founding shareholders has been in the printing and diary business for over twenty years and most of our sales people have been with the company for more than six years. JACO drives the day to day operations of the Company and has a very extensive client network. CDC has only a small core of 8 permanent staff as the sale function is being performed mostly by outside agents. However recent increases in business will probably see this permanent workforce increase in the near future.
