Why Calendars and Diaries in tough times?
How do corporate customers justify continuing to spend scarce marketing budget on Corporate Diaries and Calendars when almost the entire western world is facing one of the deepest recessions seen in a long while?   Marketing gurus in the States, Patricia Fripp & David Garfinkel suggest “In an economy like this, cutting back on marketing is flirting with business suicide” 

They say...“What you should do instead is increase your marketing without increasing the amount of money you spend. This will not only protect you from sales declines, but will also strengthen your business against the threat of deep-pocketed competitors, who may see tough times as a great opportunity to out manoeuvre you and grab some of your customers.”

But marketing budgets have been cut back so how do we maximise what little is left??  The key is to...
“Focus your advertising. Many businesses think "keeping your name in front of the public" is a valid advertising strategy. It's questionable at best, but it's way too risky and low-yield in tough times.
